Moline native Karl Bodenbender is happy to celebrate performing in person again after "living in a cave" these last 18 months! After moving back to the Quad Cities from Amana, Iowa where he was Music Director at The Old Creamery Theatre and Iowa Theatre Artists Company for ten seasons, Karl was appointed Director of The Moline Boys Choir in 2012. This year he hopes to bring the choir back to live performance after the pandemic pause. Past local audiences have seen Karl music directing and performing at Circa '21, The Spotlight Theatre, and Richmond Hill.
Karl studied vocal music at Northwestern University and piano performance at the prestigious Cleveland Institute Of Music. He serves as organist and choir director for Orion United Methodist Church and teaches private piano and voice.
